About Me
Hi, my name is Dixon and my life in sport dates all the way back to under 8’s soccer where my most vivid memory is scoring an own goal as a goalie. I have since managed to recover from the embarrassment and gone on to play basketball as well as trying my hand at running, cycling, snowboarding and a handful of different martial arts. However, the sport I have been involved in the longest is Taekwondo which has been over 20 years and counting.
My Passion
I have always had a passion for sports for as long as I remember. I enjoy the healthy competition, physical challenges and the communities I get to be a part of. I have always believed sports is a universal language that unites people and looking back I have met people from around the world through sport who I would otherwise had never crossed paths with. Sports can provide the biggest social and health benefits to participants but also present life’s toughest challenges to athletes with big ambitions. It is very powerful in that it can build character in children, give people a purpose and change lives of all ages for the better. This is why sport is a great passion to have.
My Goal
My goal is to help people get involved in sports and experience the health and social benefits through sports participation.
